David Beckham and son Cruz appear to flout mask-wearing and social-distancing rules in Miami
David Beckham marked Cruz’s 16th birthday at a Miami restaurant over the weekend – but appeared to disregard rules surrounding the continuing pandemic.
The footballer, 45, shared photos with his son as they attended an eatery owned by nightclub mogul Dave Grutman.
The birthday boy appeared in great spirits as he grinned in front of his three-tiered graffiti-themed cake at the bash, which also saw longtime family pal Marc Anthony in attendance.
In the images, the partygoers weren’t wearing face masks and social distancing wasn’t being observed.
However, a source told MailOnline: ‘Miami has different regulations to the UK – the family are very careful and observe the rules wherever they are and get tested regularly.
‘This was a dinner in a private room and once at the table people are exempt from wearing masks.’

Cruz’s mum Victoria, 46, also shared a snap of the boys, before posting another photo of her daughter Harper, nine.
Both David and Victoria thanked restaurateur Dave and his wife, Isabela for what appeared to be a family lunch.
But over on Dave’s Instagram page, he shared a snap of himself alongside David and Cruz, also cuddling up to singer Marc.
It appeared that the group featured at least three different households. Victoria also tagged Kristin Kristín Ólafsdóttir, a film director, suggesting she was also present.

Current legislation in Miami – as per the New Normal Handbook – states that ‘people must follow the social and physical distancing and facial covering and personal protection equipment (PPE) guidelines as defined by our Emergency Orders, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other regulatory guidelines’.
It then lists the guidelines as maintaining a ‘six foot distance between people… in restaurants, casinos and other indoor entertainment venues’ and that patrons ‘should wear facial coverings at all times in public, with certain exceptions’.
It adds: ‘All persons throughout Miami-Dade County are still required to wear a mask or other facial covering when in public, at parks, and inside all establishment but are not required to have them on under the following exceptions only…’
Before listing the exception: ‘Persons are actively eating or drinking at restaurants or smoking.’

It further adds: ‘Social distancing protocols must be observed by patrons and staff… with the maintenance of social distancing of 6 feet between parties. Per table party limit of 6 persons must be maintained whether seating is indoors or outdoors.’
MailOnline has approached representatives for the Beckhams for comment.
The power couple reportedly flew via private jet to see in the New Year in Florida, allegedly celebrating at the £30 million mansion of Nicola Peltz’s family.
They are said to have embarked on the journey on Christmas Day, crossing the Atlantic in the safety of a private jet amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, an insider claimed they flew to the city with their children because David has business there with his footballer team, Inter Miami.
They told The Sun: ‘David and Victoria had been planning this trip for months. David needed to be in Miami in January on Inter Miami duty because it’s the start of the MLS pre-season, and he is helping recruit new players.
The guidelines: Travel is forbidden under national lockdown 3.0
You must not leave your home unless you have a reasonable excuse (for example, for work or education purposes). If you need to travel you should stay local – meaning avoiding travelling outside of your village, town or the part of a city where you live – and look to reduce the number of journeys you make overall. The list of reasons you can leave your home and area include, but are not limited to:
work, where you cannot reasonably work from home
accessing education and for caring responsibilities
visiting those in your support bubble – or your childcare bubble for childcare
visiting hospital, GP and other medical appointments or visits where you have had an accident or are concerned about your health
buying goods or services that you need, but this should be within your local area wherever possible
outdoor exercise. This should be done locally wherever possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area to do so if necessary (for example, to access an open space)
attending the care and exercise of an animal, or veterinary services
If you need to travel, walk or cycle where possible, and plan ahead and avoid busy times and routes on public transport. This will allow you to practice social distancing while you travel.
Avoid car sharing with anyone from outside your household or your support bubble. See the guidance on car sharing.
If you need to use public transport, you should follow the safer travel guidance.
You can only travel internationally – or within the UK – where you first have a legally permitted reason to leave home. In addition, you should consider the public health advice in the country you are visiting.
If you do need to travel overseas (and are legally permitted to do so, for example, because it is for work), even if you are returning to a place you’ve visited before, you should look at the rules in place at your destination and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) travel advice.
UK residents currently abroad do not need to return home immediately. However, you should check with your airline or travel operator on arrangements for returning.
Foreign nationals are subject to the ‘Stay at Home’ regulations. You should not travel abroad unless it is permitted. This means you must not go on holiday.
If you are visiting the UK, you may return home. You should check whether there are any restrictions in place at your destination.
‘He also hadn’t been able to get there since last March due to restrictions so it was an important trip.

‘Once in the US, Brooklyn was reunited with Nicola, and the two families spent some lovely quality time together. Unfortunately, and in a scenario beyond their control, since being Stateside, lockdown mk iii came into effect.’
